And experiment in music in film:  On Thursday, January 14th, Marmoset is pairing filmmakers, Truen Pence, Davis Priestley and Norm Sajovie, along with musician East Forest, in a live, collaborative performance of music and picture. This is the beginning of an ongoing series of performance art we’re calling A/VEC (Audio/Visual Experiential Collaboration project).
This first installment will happen at Marmoset’s studios (2105 SE 7th Ave.) at 7:00 PM. The performance will be followed by a Q&A with the artists, and accompanied with appropriately curated food and refreshments. Seats are limited, so make sure to RSVP as soon as you can.

I’ll be curating a weekend of events at the immersive 360 projection event space, Lightbox in New York City.  Live East Forest music integrating with a wide range of events including a guided meditation, a dance party, yoga, sound baths, micro ceremonies and more.  With Elena BrowerDavid Hohme, and many more collaborators.  Advance ticketing required at  Join us for a specially curated weekend of wellness-focused events inside NYC’s premiere immersive events space, Lightbox — all set to the live sonic soundscapes of East Forest and wraparound visuals by David Lobser and Dan Baker. East Forest (aka Trevor Oswalt) curates a synesthetic weekend exploring the idea of ceremony. Creating a healing oasis we will weave an intentional space of sound and immersive visuals to support different flavors of “ceremony” that explore elements of taste, touch, smell, movement, sound, and spoken word.  Music, immersive visuals, interactivity, tea ceremonies, food, drinks, mingling and relaxing continue all day and night throughout the event.

7:00pm : Guided meditation sound event with ELENA BROWER (w/live music by East Forest) – also launch event for Elena’s new mediation series, “Cultivating Spiritual Intelligence”). The evening ends with a dance performance/sound collaboration…along with tea, interactivity and more. Doors at 6:30pm.

10:00am : starts in the morning with yoga taught by JAI SUGRIM to live music, followed by
12:00pm – 3:30pm : a four-hour “Wellness Womb” with bodyworkers/healers/energy workers etc…tea ceremonies, music, visuals, interactivity, food/drinks, and mingling throughout. Free to attend with advance RSVP “ticket”.

8:00pm : Saturday night’s community party starts with an East Forest sound bath “audio womb”, and flows straight into a downtempo live East Forest set, followed by our headliner with dancing to DJ David Hohme’s deep beats.
